«گروه شرکتهای تانیر به عنوان «بزرگترین سرمایهگذار و تولیدکننده برق و حرارت در مقیاس کوچک» در کشور، با راهاندازی اولین نیروگاه تولید پراکنده کشور در سال 1384 فعالیت خود را آغاز نموده است. با توجه به نیاز مبرم کشور به تولید پراکنده برق، با تهیه و تدوین “دستورالعمل توسعه مولدهای مقیاس کوچک “در سال 1387 توسط وزارت نیرو ، سیاست گذاران کشور حمایت خود را از این صنعت، با برخی تسهیلات، من جمله عقد “قرارداد خرید تضمینی برق” اعلام نمودند. فعالیت “گروه شرکت های تانیر” در حوزه های « نصب و اجرای نیروگاه بصورت EPC » ،«بهرهبرداری»،«تعمیر و نگهداری» و «خردهفروشی برق» ایشان را به عنوان یک مجموعه هلدینگ در بحث انرژی مطرح نمود. لذا با توجه به رویکرد وزارت نیرو درتوسعه مولدهای مقیاس کوچک به عنوان یک راهکار کارآمد در بحران انرژی، تفاهم نامه 1000 مگاواتی فیمابین”وزارت نیرو” و ” گروه شرکت های تانیر” به عنوان پیشگام در این عرصه منعقد گردید. در حال حاضر این شرکت با تامین و نصب و راه اندازی بیش از 650 مگاوات نیروگاه مقیاس کوچک به عنوان مشاور و مجری طرحهای نیروگاهی تولید پراکنده(DG) و ارائه طیف کامل خدمات مهندسی جهت اکثریت نیروگاههای تولید پراکنده در حال کار ، موفق به ثبت رکوردهای کم نظیری در صنعت برق کشور گردیده است. همچنین این شرکت موفق به ایجاد تشکلی تحت عنوان “سندیکای برق و حرارت مقیاس کوچک” با حضور دیگر شرکت های فعال در این حوزه، با هدف پیشبرد هرچه بهتر برنامه ها و محقق شدن اهداف اعضای این صنعت گردید. در حال حاضر این شرکت تامین، نصب، راه اندازی و نگهداری از برندهایی نظیر FGWILSON ، ,GUASCOR Hyundai ,MTU و… را در کارنامه خود دارد همچنین در حال حاضر امکان سفارش و تحویل مولدهای برند LIEBHERR سوئیس توسط این شرکت وجود دارد. در حال حاضر، گروه تولید ایستگاهی نیرو (گروه تانیر) متشکل از 4 شرکت زیرمجموعه بوده که با همکاری نزدیک با یکدیگر، مجموعه کاملی از خدمات، از مشاوره و خدمات مهندسی تا بازرگانی برق و فروش مولد و تامین قطعات را ارائه می نمایند. به عنوان یکی از شرکتهای زیرمجموعه و با پشتوانه تخصصهای مالی و فنی گروه تانیر در زمینه سرمایهگذاری در تولید برق و همچنین بازرگانی برق، به عنوان اولین شرکت خردهفروش برق در ایران، علاوه بر فروش برق تولیدی نیروگاههای گروه تانیر به مصرفکنندگان و
