Iran Pipe and Machinery Company, as the first industrial unit for smelting and producing cast iron in Iran, was established in 1959 (1338 SH) with the aim of producing cast iron pipes and fittings for water supply uses and cast-iron boilers for providing hot water and heating for institutions and buildings. The company’s annual production capacity at the beginning was 4.000 tons, and its main products were cast iron pipes with diameters from 80 to 400 millimeters and lengths of 4 and 5/5 meters, produced by the centrifugal method.
