Ray San Oil Company is one of the most dynamic private-sector entities and was established in Tehran in 1386 with the aim of producing various lubricants. In line with its objectives, the company built a factory in Shams Abad Industrial Town, 32 kilometers from Tehran. This factory was put into operation in Khordad 1388, after obtaining an operating license from the Tehran Province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization, in phase one with a capacity of 6 thousand tons per year, and in Mordad of the same year, by signing a production contract with Gulf Oil Persia under the management of Mr. SP, it began cooperation as the Tehran branch of Gulf Oil International. In Bahman 1388, after Ray San Oil Company’s potential was recognized, a contract was concluded between this company and Gulf Oil International, headquartered in the United Kingdom. Under the terms of this contract, Ray San Oil Company was appointed as the sole producer and distributor of Gulf products in Iran, and all marketing, sales, and production processes are carried out under the management of Ray San Oil Company and the direct supervision of Gulf Oil International. All formulations and quality requirements used in the production of the products comply with Gulf standards, which are also used simultaneously in other parts of the world. It should be noted that this company’s gasoline and diesel lubricants are among the few products in the Iranian market that have the approval and mark of the American Petroleum Institute (API).
