About Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company (ITMCO)
Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company (ITMCO) is the largest tractor and agricultural machinery manufacturer in the Middle East, headquartered in Tabriz, Iran. The company was established in 1968 following a 1966 agreement between Iran and Romania, and began production in 1969 by assembling Romanian U650 and U651 tractors before partnering with Massey Ferguson in 1976.
Over the decades, ITMCO localized its production technology and now markets its products under the domestic ITM brand. As an industrial group holding more than twelve subsidiary companies, it produces a wide range of tractors, diesel engines, vehicle parts, and trucks. ITMCO exports its products to numerous countries across the region and Africa, and remains the cornerstone of Iran's mechanized agriculture sector.
