نیاز کشور به استفاده از تکنولوژی‌های جدید در حوزه صنعت کفش و همزمان با آگاهی از سهم بالای زیره‌های ساخت کارخانجات دلتای ایتالیا در تولید کفش‌های «برند» اروپایی از سوئی دیگر، ما را بر آن داشت تا با هدف ارتقای کیفیت تولیدات داخلی ، بخشی از تکنولوژی ساخت این زیره را به کشورمان انتقال دهیم. با این نگاه، شرکت تولیدی « تهران دلتا » ( سهامی خاص) با مشارکت 49 درصدی شرکت دلتای ایتالیا و با پشتوانه مصوبه هیئت وزیران جمهوری اسلامی ایران و با سرمایه اولیه یک میلیون و دویست هزار دلار در سال 1379 تاسیس و عرضه محصولات آن در قالب انواع زیره کفش «پلی اورتان» به بازار آغاز شد که در اندک مدتی استقبال چشمگیر تولیدکنندگان کفش‌های دست دوز را به همراه داشت . زیرا آنان با بهره‌مندی از این محصول در چرخه تولید خود، توانستند کیفیت محصولات خود را ارتقای چشمگیری بخشیده و همزمان به دو هدف اساسی جلب رضایت مشتریان و رونق کسب و کار خویش نیز دست یابند. همین سیرصعودی متقاضیان و مشتریان زیره کفش «پلی اورتان»، همراه با حمایت‌های معنوی همکاران صنفی، ما را تشویق کرد تا بر تلاش خود افزوده و تولید محصولاتی دیگرازحلقه‌های مفقوده مواد اولیه مورد نیاز صنعت کیف و کفش، مبلمان و پوشاک را در دستور کار خود قرار دهیم که راه اندازی واحد تولید چرم مصنوعی مجهز به آزمایشگاه‌های کاملاً حرفه‌ای و آموزش نیروی انسانی ماهر توسط کارشناسان استخدام شده خارجی، بخشی از گام هایی بود که در این مسیر برداشتیم و در قدم بعدی، تولید انواع چرم مصنوعی صد درصد «پلی اورتان» با ظرفیت سالانه دوازده میلیون متر بوده و راه اندازی راکتورهای واحد پلیمر جهت تولید پلی‌اورتان مورد نیاز نیز تکمیل کننده چرخه تولید گروه چرم پلی‌اورتان بوده است. نصب و بکارگیری برج‌های جذب و تقطیر جهت بازیافت حلال DMF مکمل بعدی خطوط فوق بوده که همزمان سیتم حمایتی ،حفظ محیط زیست نیز بوده است که اکنون در حال فعالیت است. هدف‌گذاری بعدی « تهران دلتا »، شروع به تولید انواع پلی‌اورتان‌های آروماتیک مورد نیاز در تولید چرم بوده که تحقق آن، بخش مهمی از وابستگی این صنعت به خارج از کشور را کاهش داده و امکان رقابت قوی‌تر محصولات ایرانی در سطح بین المللی را فراهم کرده است. و اکنون تلاشمان را معطوف به راه اندازی خطوط تولید رزین‌های پلی‌اورتان گروه کفشی و آلیفاتیک های تاپ کوت چرم مصنو
