Iran Electronics Industries (IEI), known in Persian as SAIRAN, was founded in 1972 with initial investment from the Iranian government. Headquartered in the Pasdaran district of Tehran, it grew from a maker of household and consumer electronics into the largest electronics manufacturing group in the country, overseeing several major subsidiaries with industrial complexes in Tehran, Isfahan and Shiraz.
