The commercial card (کارت بازرگانی) is an essential business license in Iran that allows companies to engage in import/export activities.

Updated Requirements for 2026

• Company registration certificate
• Tax ID (شناسه ملی)
• Economic code (کد اقتصادی)
• Chamber of Commerce membership
• Updated fee: 50 million IRR (increased from 35 million IRR)

Application Process

1. Register company with Ministry of Economic Affairs
2. Obtain tax identification number
3. Get economic code
4. Join Chamber of Commerce
5. Submit commercial card application
6. Pay fees
7. Receive card (10-15 business days)

Types of Commercial Cards

• Export Card: For export-only businesses
• Import Card: For import-only businesses
• Import-Export Card: For both activities (most common)
