SAIPA is one of Iran's two largest automakers, established in 1965 to assemble Citroën vehicles under license before becoming a fully independent national manufacturer. Over the decades it expanded into an automotive group comprising dozens of subsidiaries, and it controls Pars Khodro, Zamyad and Saipa Diesel, covering passenger cars, pickups and commercial vehicles. SAIPA built its reputation on the highly popular Pride and later the Tiba, Saina, Quick and Shahin model families.
Headquartered on the Karaj Special Road in Tehran, SAIPA operates large manufacturing complexes and a nationwide sales and after-sales network, and exports vehicles to regional markets. The company has invested in new domestic platforms, modernized models such as the Shahin and Atlas, and the development of hybrid and electrified powertrains as it renews its lineup.
