
National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) is the largest copper producer and exporter in Iran and the Middle East, with more than fifty years of experience in copper mining and metallurgy. Founded in 1972, the company is headquartered in Tehran with major mining and smelting operations centered in Kerman Province, including the giant Sarcheshmeh and Sungun copper mines, and it is one of the most valuable companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange.
NICICO operates an integrated value chain spanning open-pit mining, concentration, smelting, and refining. Its main products include LME Grade A copper cathode, copper concentrate, copper anode, 8 mm copper rod, copper slab and billet, along with by-products such as molybdenum concentrate, molybdenum oxide, ferromolybdenum, and gold and silver recovered from anode slimes. The company supplies both domestic industry and a wide range of international export markets.
